Frequently asked questions
Is BooPaw free?+
Yes. The Digital ID, QR tag, lost pet alerts, daily care, health records and reminders are free. AI Vet answers are free with a short ad, and optional paid plans remove ads and unlock unlimited AI Vet questions.
Does the person who finds my pet need the app?+
No. They scan the QR tag with their phone's camera and a web page opens. They can message you right there, without seeing your phone number or email unless you choose to show them.
Is the AI Vet a real veterinarian?+
No. It gives general guidance on health, food and behavior to help you decide what to do next. It doesn't replace a vet — in an emergency, call your vet or an emergency clinic right away.
Is my pet's and my data private?+
You decide what your pet's public page shows, and lost pet alerts only share an approximate area — never your address. We don't sell your data, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time.
Can my family use it too?+
Yes. Invite family members or a pet sitter with a code, and they'll see the same pets, checklist, reminders and records.
Which phones does BooPaw work on?+
